The man credited with jingles of brands like Thums Up ‘Taste the thunder’, Mango Frooti ‘Fresh and juicy’, Doodh-doodh ‘Piyo full glass’ and many more, Leslie Lewis is not just a composer, but also a singer, a guitar player & a pop music producer.
This talented musician also gave KK his ‘Pal’, Suneeta Rao her 'Paree Hoon Main' & Asha Bhosle a peppy version of 'Janam samjha karo'.
He is the one who brought a new sound to India through ‘MTV Coke Studio’, and ended up conceiving and creating all the music in its debut season. His creative side comes from his father, P L Raj who was a noted choreographer from the film industry.
After his stint in the ad world, he went on to form a band Colonial Cousins with singer Hariharan, and together they created some memorable music which also earned them ‘MTV Asia Viewer's Choice Award’ in 1997 in New York.
He also launched the band ‘A Band of Boys’ and gave music for super hit songs such as ‘Aaja Meri Jaan’ and ‘Gori’.
Having done a number of live shows and gigs worldwide, he has recently started ‘Connect with the Fans’, a series of live performances through which he plans to connect with as many of his fans as possible.
With an aim to give the audiences a taste of varied music flavors, he has been successful in keeping his originality intact with advertisement jingles, film music and other forms of modern music.
